INICIATIVA VERDE
In cooperation with Iniciativa Verde, we are supporting small farmers restore 36 hectares of heavily deforested and degraded land through agroforestry in the State of Para, Brazil. Around 10,000 native tree and plant species will be planted in order to capture CO2 and improve soil and water, while also securing a sustainable income for the farmers.
Iniciativa Verde is a non-profit civil association in Brazil. The mission of Iniciativa Verde is to improve environmental services which are fundamental for the society’s well-being, which resonates with our own mission at The Rainforest Company.

IPAM
The Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia (IPAM) provides technical support on the ground to 30 farmers who are involved in our agroforestry project with Iniciativa Verde.
IPAM is a scientific, non-governmental, and non-profit organization that works for the sustainable development of the Amazon.

SOS AMAZÕNIA
Through SOS Amazõnia, we provided COVID-relief packages containing essential food and hygiene items to help 300 families safely isolate themselves in the Riozinho da Liberdade Extractive Reserve, Acre, Brazil.
Formed in the late 1980s, the mission of SOS Amazõnia is to promote the conservation of biodiversity and the growth of environmental awareness in the Amazon.

The food industry should be transparent and accountable for our CO2 emissions. We have partnered with Eaternity Institut (founded at ETH Zurich) to evaluate the environmental footprint of our products through a Life Cycle Analysis.
We received the highest possible sustainability score for our Frozen Acai Puree and Bio Acai Bowls based on Eaternity’s metrics for CO2 emissions, water usage, animal welfare (vegan) and protection of the rainforest.
